All this wouldn’t be possible if we still had real journalists.

We do, they’re getting carried out of press conferences and being black balled by big media. One of the problems is there’s not enough of them. I recommend the latest Bad Faith podcast where both Sam Husseini & Max Blumenthal talked about that incident and the culture of silencing critics of power. https://youtu.be/GrDAGSR9wV4?si=PkxOADBzF3XE5RII

I thought it hilarious that Blinken insisted Sam "repect the process" when the administration wouldn't respect international or US law.

Blinken meant what he said: respect the process. Of mass murder.

I am gonna ENJOY the slow agonising rot of Corporate Media - watching with sadistic glee as they (deservingly) waste into irrelevance!

The problem is that they are fed by the trash like Smirkula and the professional liars Trump will no doubt have.

How are valid questions about US policy not allowed?

Expand full comment
Mark Keating's avatar

Those questions are allowed. To clarify, journalists could ask the kind of tough questions Blinken said he enjoyed. But there won't be a meaningful answer. And there will be consequences for the offending journalist. Ask Chris Hedges.

I hope those drones over New Jersey ARE aliens and they are looking to give humans a lift of this planet, because this place sucks.

LaVerne Karras's avatar

No, the planet doesn't suck just some of the people like Blinken, Biden, Sullivan, Smirkula, et al, and not to forget the slime at the bottom of the barrel like Lindsay Graham, Sean Spicer, Kellyanne Conway and that crowd.

And yet these people only have the power we give them. And we give them all the power they need to do terrible things. Hard to not say the vast majority of the species just plain sucks.

Maybe they can lift up USA and take it away?

The USA isn't the problem - the problem is with the sociopaths that seek power and the mindless sheep that enable them. the US just has the most money. When we implode, and China has the most money, they will do the same shit.

It's people. We are our own problem.

I agree to a certain extent BUT : I doubt that the USA has the MOST money?

Why do you say this?

Where is the money?

I am not in the USA but I see pictures of people sleeping in the streets with NO healthcare.

SOME of these people either sent their kids to war for you believing in the USA or they did fight wars.

How do you equate your Country now?

Free America.

I have watched Sam for a long time.

Always he has been denied pertinent questions by the powers that be.

This is not the first time.

Please also respect that Max Blumenthal was thrown out before Sam spoke.

Can we all publicly call out each journalist who stayed in their seats? Their inaction is normalizing this assault on freedom of the press!

The more he is not called on (that’s a rough combination of words) the more critical questions pile up; then with selective editing, Sam appears to be a nuisance.

Instead, he’s the only one asking pertinent questions.

Yes, Sam could be a drone/presstitute like all the rest in there, but that's what separates journalists from them.

NOTHING!

UMBRA Raven. You smuck.

When you cannot ask questions of your Government you are screwed!

I am not in the USA (the most hated Empire/not dissimalar to the British Empire which is hanging on your coat-tails.

Who respects you?

Lies and sanctions/ lies and sanctions.

Has the US learned yet that 'sanctions' do not work?

GO ahead USA sanction countries because they don't agree with you.

What IS happening: Countries that are sanctioned by the USA will make their own way forward/bypassing the USA

China is ready to help these countries.

Sanctions do work - for keeping the US vassals in line.

Sanction means you punish your vassals, they buy more stuff from you. And they fork over more data for surveillance machine. Data must be report on transactions in order to be "compliant" with sanctions regimes.. Data on who owns what. Data on who buys what from who. Where. When. Everything is monitored in a sanctions regime.

That's what the sanctions are actually for.

I can see that your faction - the one that lies down and politely asks for power - didn't seem to be getting much headway these days.

Witness, for instance, every other journalist waiting quietly for the armed guards to haul an old man out of a press conference for the crime of caring about children being massacred.

What good are they doing? I know the good they perform for those on power - they cosplay as journalists, taking seats from people that works hold the government accountable.

But please, tell me "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good".

Funny how the shit libs never say that in reference to Sam being impolite while trying to get a propagandist for mass murder to what some actual questions about what our government is doing in our name.

Grovellers like you are why these people get away with killing children and ethnic cleansing.

But tell me again how we should be nicer to mass murderers.

When King spoke about the "white moderate", you know that he was talking about you, right?

Exactly you.
